I wouldn't mind this sort of game mode, actually.
What OP is proposing reminds me of The Undead Hordes. There was a point when I kept redoing the quest just for fun.
What I would suggest for this mode though would be to ensure that the monsters have some sort of skill that strips enchantments/stances, without having to target the player to do it. Last thing we want is people solo-farming it.

To be honest, I hope GW2 has something similar to this.
Like 'Survive or Die' from Pristontale and Horde Mode in Gears of War 2. :P

Didn’t read all the posts so I don’t know if someone’s posted this yet...
You should check out the Challenge Mission Zos Shivros Channel, it’s got a similar theme to it that your idea has; basically Battle Priest Calibos will call in waves of enemies; each wave getting larger and more powerful.

I think it is a good idea, level 10 monsters that give the exp of level 10 monsters and the gold drops of level 10 monsters. Or even no drops and/or exp, the point of this is fun for people that just want a repetative, easy 1vsMany, not for farming anything. If people want to use whatever invinci-mode skills then let them, they would not causing any problems. Also the monsters should all make that continuous, gets louder as they get closer yell from those kamakazie bombs-for hands monsters from serious sam: aaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAA!

sounds like dragon Throat challenge mission.
You would have to kill every farm build like 600/smiting, shawdow form by disenchanting them. similiar to expunge enchantment.
Seems wierd idea though.

/signed for just wanting to kill a whole bunch of stuffs, provided its just for killing a whole bunch of stuffs, like other say before, no exp points, no drops, just some kind of endurance race.
this idea is good for players who just want to kill a whole bunch of stuffs.
Might I add my suggestion, put this together with Isle of the Nameless, can use as a place to test your Build, skills, endurance, etc, at the end of the game you get a report. i have a new idea.

/signed, but as an added feature, I think each wave should have harder enemies than the previous wave, and that at the later levels, something worthwhile should drop (from enemies - no end chest or anything) - not something overly valuable like a VS or CS, but maybe a small chance to drop gemstones (more than a normal enemy though), non-everlasting tonics, low-level alcohol, sweets, party items, etc. It would give people reason to do it, and would help reduce the dependance on special events for those particular title points.
I intend this for high levels only though, before, say, enemies at level 30+, everything can only drop saurian bones or something, and the drops at high-levels won't necessarily be very frequent.

Seconded! When I read OP I, too, thought of that same quest.
There are a couple in NF with that kind of feel:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Protect_the_Learned
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/A_Tho...aresh%27s_Side
I wound up with those quests active in my log while vanquishing. Good fun, although it may only be "whee kill mode!" in HM.
I still like Undead Hordes the best.
As for the original suggestion, I vote against it since it seems like there's already several good potentials for this in the game, and I'd rather see them devote resources elsewhere.
